πŸ“ Day of the week you were born

Find out the day of the week you were born and what was special about that day.

How it works

We use the Gregorian calendar to determine the day of the week. For dates before 1582 the math still works but won't match historical Julian calendars.

The weekday tradition

An old English nursery rhyme describes the nature of those born each day:

  • Sunday: bonny and blithe.
  • Monday: fair of face.
  • Tuesday: full of grace.
  • Wednesday: full of woe.
  • Thursday: has far to go.
  • Friday: loving and giving.
  • Saturday: works hard for a living.

Fun facts

  • Your birthday lands on the same day of the week every 6, 11 or 12 years - a pattern shaped by leap years.
  • Statistically, most Romanian births happen on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, especially for scheduled C-sections.
