Calculate working days between two dates, taking Romanian holidays into account.

How it works

The calculation excludes weekends (Saturday + Sunday) and Romanian public holidays per the Labour Code. Both fixed holidays (e.g. Dec 1) and movable feasts (Orthodox Easter + Good Friday + Easter Monday + Pentecost) are included.

Fun facts

  • Romania has between 15 and 17 public holidays per year, depending on when Easter and Pentecost fall.
  • A full-time employee works approximately 250 days a year, or ~2,000 hours.
  • If a holiday falls on a weekend, it is not automatically transferred to Monday - it depends on government decision.
